Former US treasury secretary Larry Summers is leaving the board at the ChatGPT creator, just a week after a series of emails between him and notorious criminal the disgraced billionaire became public.

The economist remarked in a release that he was "appreciative for the opportunity to have contributed, enthusiastic about the promise of the organization, and look forward following their advancement".

The prominent academic, who previously headed the Ivy League institution, announced on earlier this week that he would be stepping back from public roles due to his relationship with Epstein.
